Randy Pausch, Carnegie Mellon professor fighting cancer passes the six month mark...

Carnegie Mellon University has a tradition called the "last lecture" challenging professors to prepare the lecture they would give if they knew it was their last before they died. When Randy Pausch gave his "Last Lecture" it was not from a theoretical stand-point. The 47-year-old father of three young children had just been told by doctors he had six months to live. The Carnegie Mellon professor has been fighting pancreatic cancer since September 6th of 2006 and has beaten the original prognosis by six months plus a year. The lecture simple yet deeply profound, was recorded and has been aired many times over the past several months and down-loaded over 10 million times inspiring all who watch his courage at the face of an almost unbeatable disease. Randy has also written his message as a book, The Last Lecture, which was released April 8th.

Randy maintains an update site to journal his progress for all those who are looking on with hope and prayer for him and his family. He adds to the journal almost daily.
